TRIPOLI investigates the optical and radiative properties of the polar atmosphere through field observations, optical remote sensing, and radiative transfer modelling. The project combines ground-based measurements at the Spanish Antarctic Station Juan Carlos I with advanced analysis and calibration techniques to characterize aerosols, clouds, and their impact on solar radiation. Its results will improve the accuracy of climate models and the interpretation of satellite observations in polar regions.
