This project evaluates the capability of ESA and NASA satellite sensors to monitor the atmospheric impact of wildfires, aerosol events, and other environmental episodes. By analysing multi-sensor satellite observations and comparing them with ground-based measurements, the study assesses the reliability, sensitivity, and limitations of current spaceborne instruments for detecting and characterizing atmospheric disturbances, improving their use for environmental monitoring and air-quality applications.
