Graduated in physics at the Complutense University in Madrid (1986). Meteorologist of the Spanish Meteorological State Agency (AEMET), he holds the current position of Territorial Delegate for the Castilla y León region. He obtained the Certificate of Advanced Studies at the University of Valladolid (2006) in the programme “Advanced Methods in Modern Physics”, with the work titled “Measurements of aerosol optical depth and water vapor in Polar Regions: Ny-Alesund Inter-comparison Campaign”, participating in that campaign (2005) as member of the Group of Atmospheric Optics of the University of Valladolid (GOA). He got his PhD in physics by the University of Valladolid (2011), with a thesis entitled: “Analysis of total column atmospheric water vapor over the Iberian Peninsula measured by different techniques: radio-soundings, sun photometers and GPS system”, developed in the GOA and co-directed by Dr. Cachorro and Dr. Toledano. His research focuses on atmospheric water vapor and aerosols, collaborating with the GOA on several projects
